What You’ll Build

You will own Centra’s Prairie business across market expansion, sales, operations, people, customer experience and financial performance. Your mandate is to take each market from opportunity to operating reality, then build the foundation for continued regional growth.

You will:

• Determine how, where and when Centra enters new Prairie markets.
• Build strong business cases using market data, financial analysis and direct local intelligence.
• Lead every stage of market launch, from generating demand and building community relationships to establishing facilities, logistics and operating infrastructure.
• Hire, lead and develop the sales, installation and operational teams required to succeed in each market.
• Build Centra’s local presence through industry connections, referral channels, partnerships and meaningful community involvement.
• Own regional performance across revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, working capital and customer experience.
• Identify gaps early, make decisions and take action across sales, staffing, marketing, installation and operations.
• Adapt Centra’s proven business model where local conditions demand it, bringing forward clear recommendations grounded in evidence.
• Create a repeatable expansion model that allows every new market to launch faster, operate stronger and grow more profitably than the last.

You know how to move between strategy and execution. You can assess a market, build the business case and make the financial decisions, but you are equally willing to get into the community, build relationships, find the right people and create momentum yourself.

You bring someone not uncertainty, ownership is what you are looking for. You make sound decisions, solve problems and keep moving without needing constant direction. You also know when to challenge an assumption, when to ask for support and when a major decision needs alignment.

Most importantly, you build the right way. You hold people accountable, protect the customer experience and understand that sustainable growth depends on strong teams, financial discipline and a culture people want to be part of.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across business operations, sales, construction, home services or another field-based business.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role with direct accountability for a business unit, region, branch network or comparable operation.
• Experience in residential construction, home improvement, building products or an in-home service business is strongly preferred. Experience with direct-to-homeowner sales, new branch openings or installed products would be especially valuable.
• Direct P&L ownership, including responsibility for revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, budgets, forecasts, operating expenses and capital planning.
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling a business, such as entering a new market, opening locations, launching a new division or growing a regional operation.
• Experience leading both sales and operations, including responsibility for hiring, performance, customer experience and operational execution.
• A track record of building teams from the ground up, including hiring and developing salespeople, field leaders and operational employees.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases involving market opportunity, investment requirements, financial projections and risk.
• Proven success building local demand and market credibility through networking, partnerships, referral channels, community involvement and sales activity.
• Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan and its business communities, ideally with an established professional network in Saskatoon, Regina or both.

Where This Role Is Located

This is one regional leadership opportunity being advertised in both Saskatoon and Regina as we search for the right person to lead Centra’s Prairie expansion.

The successful candidate may be based in either Saskatoon or Regina and must be prepared to spend significant time in both markets as the business develops. Frequent travel throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba will be required, along with periodic travel to Centra operations in Alberta and British Columbia.

This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role. To build local relationships, understand each market and lead new teams effectively, you need to be connected to the communities where we are growing.
